Pancakes!

Pancake day is springing up on us, so I thought I would show you how I make a perfect pancake and what I have on top of them (who only has one pancake!).

You will need
To make -
110 grams of sifted flour
2 free range eggs
200 mls of milk mixed with 75 mls of water
50 grams of butter
Pinch of salt

To serve -
Blueberries
Nutella
Orange
sugar
Golden Syrup
(choice of topping)

Step one - Sift the flour and salt into a large mixing bowl

Step two - Make a little dent into the middle of the flour mix and crack the eggs into the middle. You will then need to start to whisk the eggs and flour together you will need to ensure that you get all of the flour from around the edge of the bowl.

Step three - Still whisking you will need to start to add the milk and water mix. Keep mixing until all lumps disappear. You will now need to melt the butter.

Step four - Place 2 Table spoons of the melted butter into the batter mix, and leave the rest to one side for lubricating the pan. You will do this buy using a small amount of grease proof paper to help move the butter around the pan be careful not to burn yourself.

Step five - you will need to use a frying pan for this you will need to make sure your pan is greased to prevent sticking. Then you will need to put a thin layer of mixture in the pan.

Step six - You will need to let the mixture cook in the pan for about 2 minutes on each side, depending on what setting the hop is on as soon as the mixture is solid, you will need to use a fish slice to flip over the pancake, this will then need to cook on the other side, you will then need to place your pancake onto a plate and wala your pancake is served.

As you can see my pancake on the left flipped wrong and then stuck, there was no way I could have rescued that. But apart from that one the rest were okay.
This was the pancake I broke hence why it doesn't look as nice as my other ones woopsiee, I topped this pancake with Nutella and strawberries

This was possible my favourite and the messiest as the blueberries all fell out and went everywhere.
Topped with fresh blueberries and golden syrup

Orange and sugar my all time favourite this reminds me of when I was a child as I used to have this and lemon all the time.
Its safe to say that these all filled me up as I couldn't just waste them after writing this post.
I hope this has given you some inspiration for pancake day, thanks for reading lots of love

Blueberry Muffins

I personally love all things blueberry, so it only seemed right for me to show you how I make blueberry  muffins.
What will I need?
110 grams of plain flour
110 grams of butter
 65 grams of caster sugar
 free range eggs
1.5 teaspoons of baking powder
125 grams of blueberries
Step one - Cream together the butter and sugar, you can do this with a whisk or by hand it doesn't really matter.
Step two - After you have creamed together the butter and the sugar, you will need to slowly start to add the eggs, whilst still mixing.
Step three - You will now need to add the flour baking powder and nutmeg, I folded the mixture in but you can continue to whisk, just do what is easiest for you.
Step four - If you are making these quickly you may not have time for this step but, you are supposed to place the mixture in the fridge over night, or for a minimum of an hour. I didn't want to do this as I wanted to make them that night. So I left the mixture in the fridge for about 4 hours and they still turned out okay.
Step five - Simply add the blueberries.
Step six - you will need to spoon the mixture into the muffin cases filling the cases to just over half way with mixture. You will need then to put them into the oven at 200C for between 20 minutes you are best to keep checking on them, they will be ready when golden brown on top. When taking them out of the oven place them on a cooling rack until cool. Then enjoy!!

Thank you so much for reading this post.
Lots of love

Unwrapping my Glossy Box : Valentines Edition (feb14)

So here we are that time of month again when I review and share what I received in my box this month. Like always I'm a little bit late but then again so was my box. Glossy box has got a little bit slow at getting the box to me. This VALENTINES day box arrived on my doorstep on the 17th. Which in my eyes isn't then a valentines box because it's late. Anyway the products are amazing so who cares hey!

As you can see they really went all out on the decoration of the box, personally I think it looks a little garish and tacky but at least the effort was there right. The products that this months box contained were all themed around the colours pink and red.

Nougat London - Sparkling Body Shimmer
When I got this out of the box I thought it was a body wash, or a bath product. But It wasn't until I read about it when I realised it was a body lotion. This product will create a glowing effect on where ever you apply. You can buy this product from Nougatlondon.co.uk for £14.00

NV - Chunky Eye Crayon full size product!
This is a Eye Crayon in the shade Sugar plum, when I saw this product I was quite concerned to what I was going to use a pink eye crayon for but then I swatched it. It is a beautiful baby pink. This brilliant thing I love about products like these are that you can blend them out. You can either blend with your finger or a brush to create the look you want. I can see myself loving these products already. This product markets at £5 on NVcolour.com

Ciate London - Paint Pot (pp053 - Cocktail Dress) full size product!
I have been wanting to try a nail polish from Ciate for some time now but I either never get round to purchasing one or I forget. So I am very happy that this box included one. You may know that I am a little bit of a nail polish junkie, I love nail polish and I am very excited about getting to know this brand. This product is available on Ciate.co.uk for £9.

Giovanni Eco Chic Cosmetics - Chic Ultra-Moist Range
Firstly I would like to apologise about this picture when I received this Glossy Box I saw this and took it straight out for a little pamper after work. There for I took this picture quickly, which is why it isn't up to my normal standard. This product felt amazing on my hair, although I would have liked maybe to get a bigger sample. I have very long hair so It was quite hard to really judge the effectiveness of the product when I didn't have enough product. You can take a look at this product on healthbeautynetwork.co.uk this product markets at £7.99

Maybelline New York - Big Eyes Mascara full size product!
This mascara looks perfect for me, I tend to use two mascaras I use one on my top lashes and the Clinique Bottom Lash mascara on my bottom lashes, If this product can do both lashes I will be very pleased. I will probably do a review of this product, as I would like to show you closer up pictures of the brushes. you can buy this product for £8.99 from boots.com.

Lindt - Lindor treat bar
Well well well this was just a lovely treat to receive this month, I'm not even ashamed to tell you that I have eaten it already and it tasted amazing. I love Lindt chocolate, thank you so much Glossy Box. You can buy this from Tesco and Sainsburys.

Thank you so much for reading if you would like any futher information on the products above don't hesitate to contact me.
Lots of love

Collective Clothing Haul : Topshop, Primark, H&M

So as well as the make up bits I bought I also bought some clothes, although I should be saving money! oppps

Topshop
For my birthday I received a OUTFIT voucher, with this I picked up this lovely scarf, Its probably the softest scarf I have ever felt and I absolutely fell in love with it. This was £18.00 from the store, I have tried to find this online for you but I cant find it on the Topshop website, so it may be just available in store or it could be sold out.

H&M
These are just some basic leggings I believe they were £5.99 I love H&M leggings as they are quite thick and not see through. I hate it when you buy a pair of leggings and they end up being see through. You can buy these leggings by clicking here
This dress was £14.99, I just love this dress I think that I am going to wear this dress this weekend. As I am off to London for my friends birthday. You can buy this beautiful dress by clicking here
This dress is my favourite, when I set eyes on this dress I had to have it. The detail is lovely, I personally love the way skater dresses look on me. Although as I am quite tall sometimes they do come up a little short but this doesn't. This dress was £14.99 I think but as I cant find this dress on the website I cant be sure.

George (ASDA)
I am ashamed to say that this dress was bought from the child's section in asda, well the Teen's section. I saw this dress at the end of an isle and really like it. When I was looking at it closer I realised that they were teens dresses but I got the biggest size I could and it fits perfectly. I love this dress I love wearing dresses during the day rather than jeans and leggings at the moment. I can't remember the price but I know that it was under £10.
Primark
For a while I have been looking for shorts that I could possibly dress up and wear out for drinks, however I have always had this thing where I don't think shorts and high heels look right on me. But I think I may have found a brilliant pair. I love these they were £6.00 - £10.00 I think cant quite remember, they are amazing value for money.

Miss Selfridge
I have been wanting to get my hands on a midi skirt for a while, I just wanted a basic black skirt as I wanted to be able to get a lot of wear out of it. This is perfect it was £14.00 but as I've just noticed after I went on the website to get the link to give to you guys, Its gone into the sale for £9.80 which is a bargin! Click here to buy this skirt
Schuh
The last item I didn't buy myself, I got these as a early Valentines present. Me and my boyfriend weren't going to spend much for Valentines day but then he got me these. I have been debating on whether to get a pair of Converse for a while but I always held of and thought that I wouldn't get the wear out of them. But I have to say that I have worn these a lot since I recieved them! I will leave the link below so you can go and take a look at them on the website, they cost about £48 in schuh. You can take a look by clicking this link

Thank you very much for reading, If you have any questions that I haven't covered then just comment below or if you would like to see how I style something just let me know below or by tweeting me. My twitter handle is @JadeFarrelll

Collective Beauty and Skincare Haul : Tanya Burr Lips And Nails

Over the last couple of months I seem to have built up a few new products so I thought I would give you a little haul, some of these products were Christmas presents and some were birthday presents but more is what I have bought myself. I wasn't going to include my Christmas and birthday bits but because they are both so close together with my birthday being on January 26th I thought I would.
Tanya Burr

So if you read other blogs and watch YouTube videos, you will have probably come across the Beauty Blogger and Make Up Artist Tanya Burr. If you haven't then my question is where have you been? Tanya Burr has bought out a nail polish and lip gloss range which are available on feelunique.com.
shades of nail polish from left to right
1 - Midnight Sparkles
2 - Mini Marshmallows
3 - Peaches & Cream
4 - Bright and Early
The nail polishes are selling for £5.99 each.
The lip gloss is in shade Afternoon Tea, I can't wait to use these products.
The lip glosses are selling at £6.99 each.

NYX
NYX - Blush (PB01 Mocha) £6.00
NYX - Mega Shine Lip Gloss (LG122 Natural)£6.00
NYX - Jumbo Eye Pencil (609 French Fries)£5.00
NYX - Jumbo Eye Pencil (611 Yoghurt) £5.00
I couldn't believe it when I heard that a store in the UK was selling NYX products, so I had to take a look myself. The clothing store NEXT sells NYX I was very happy so thought that as I have been wanting to get my hands on some NYX products for a while i would take the plunge and try some from the brand. I have had a look on the website but I believe that they are only available in store.

MAC - Brush Cleanser
I wanted a brush cleanser that would clean my brushes through out but also not dry them out and make them feel horrible. This is perfect as you can see I have used some I believe that this product was around £10 but it was given as a gift by a family member.

Urban Decay - Naked Basics Pallet
I got this pallet for Christmas, I have used it a few times but really I was waiting for my brushes to arrive as my old brushes got misplaced. I believe that this pallet cost around £20.00 but as it was a present I'm not 100 percent sure on the price.

Real Techniques - Starter set.
This is the eye set it contains the following brushes that I will list left to right.
1 - Deluxe Crease brush
2 - Base Shadow brush
3 - Accent brush
4 - Fine liner brush
5 - Brow brush
This set was £21.99 from feelunique.com

Lavera - Pore refining moisturising fluid
This is a repurchase, I used this product a few months ago but when I ran out I had a spare face moisturiser so I just forgot to repurchase it. I can't wait to start using this again as my skin just hasn't been the same since. This is for oily skin. This product costs £10.90 from feelunique.com

Benefit - Porefessional
This is a Pro balm that helps to minimise pores I have started using this as I have had this product for about a month, so far so good I love this product so far. You can buy this product from Feel Unique for £24.50.

Clinique - Bottom Lash Mascara
I bought this product to use on my bottom lashes, this product has a very small brush and it is specially designed for use on your bottom lashes. This is in shade black and costs £12.00 from any Clinique counter. Or online here.

So there you go it may look like a lot of products but it has been collected over 2 months.
If you would like to see swatches of any of the products I may be doing a blog post about Tanya Burr's Lips and Nails very soon so that everyone can see swatches and close up pictures of products in use.
Thank you very much for reading
